Good Shoes Take You To Good Places

Oh my gosh, shoes. We love shopping for new shoes, but there are only a few that we usually grab for “everyday” wear. Below are a few of our favorite shoes and why we typically gravitate towards them!

Here in AZ, we can get away with wearing summer clothes for 7 months out of the year, so these bad boys complete those mixed season outfits with a breeze!

I usually pair these up with leggings or jeans in the winter (end of December, beginning of January) when it starts actually getting chilly outside. I like these specific booties because they are a shorter heel, so they’re easy to walk in, and the brown color contrasts my blue denim and black leggings perfectly!

These open-toed booties give any outfit that wow factor. Becca bought me these booties from Windsor Fashions for Christmas last year. We love the scrunched/relaxed look the top gives + the wood detail on the heel. The open-toe feature gives this heel a summer vibe while the bootie is essentially a fall statement. Ultimately, this bootie is versatile for many seasons!

Something cute + comfortable. Our readers know comfort is what we strive for, and these cute nautical themed wedges are the definition of comfort. This heel has only a 1.5 inch wedge heel, which gives us a polished look without the addition of height. The beautiful twist bow detail on the top shows off our girly side with blue stripes on top of a cream fabric. The simple narrow ankle strap keeps the wedge heel in place + gives us that confidence of comfort + stability!

These booties are great to spice up any outfit. The comfortable heel is perfect for tall girls like us to add a little bit of height without going overboard. The lace up detail is what caught our eye for this pair. It gives an interesting look + adds more creativity to the original bootie. Also, there’s that open toe again! We love to give some breathing room for our little toes, so open-toed shoes are a great option for us.

We would love to hear about your favorite shoes you tend to grab out of your shoe collection! Leave a comment below!

Keeping It Casual: College Outfits

A new fall semester of college is so exciting because of the new campus, new roommates, new classes, new profs, new homework, new tests, new papers, new projects…Let’s face it, college has its good + bad moments.

It’s all fun + games, until we have to pull an all-nighter for that research project due the next morning. And those 8am accounting classes are sometimes a struggle to get through, especially when you aren’t comfortable + self-assured, because you’re wearing your old black sweatpants + hair in a messy bun. Don’t get us wrong, we are all about the “ we woke up like this” look. However, sometimes we want to look a little more put together, without sacrificing our comfort.

Below are some outfits we suggest to feel relaxed, yet confident to get through those econ + biology lectures.

Let’s Get Purse-onal

I used to not carry purses, but lately (now that we are transitioning into real grown-ups), I need to carry a lot of crap around. So feel free to learn a little more about me through the things I carry on the daily.

First off, my bag is from JustFab.com. I fell into their sales trap around Christmas time last year, and bought way too many shoes and accessories. But I love this bag because it has a faux leather exterior and a suede-like fabric inside, the color is my version of “bright”, so it makes me feel a little bold (even though it’s such a mundane shade), and of course, who doesn’t love oversized tote bags? File_004(1)Now to the good stuff…

What’s in Becca’s bag?

  1. Willard’s Keys. I can’t go far without my truck’s keys. Yes, my truck’s name is Willard, WIlly for short. And yes, he is named after the famous whale.
  2. My Work Keys. I have to carry my work keys because I am always the first one in the office every day (I get out earlier though).
  3. Michael Kors Wallet. Derek got me this wallet a few years ago, and I have managed to keep it clean and to not lose it. He got it from Nordstroms.
  4. iPhone. I’m sure everyone knows that this item is a piece of the holy grail. I don’t go anywhere without this. Mostly because it has all my random notes + embarrassing screenshots on it. (Not pictured)
  5. Black + Gold Journal. I recently just got this journal from Joann’s, and I am excited to use and carry this around with me to be able to write down my thoughts or doodle when I am bored.
  6. Pens + Pencils. Everyone is always looking for a pen, so I carry a few.
  7. Sunnies. I have gone through so many sunglasses in my days. So you’ll probably see new pairs every now and then, because I either break or lose them. These rose gold aviators are from Urban Outfitters.

I realize that I really do not have very exciting or interesting pieces, but it is amazing to see the things that I carry around all day , every day to help my day go smoother + organized.

What do your purse items say about your daily tasks?
